Today we went for Gabriel's two month
doctor appointment. Gabriel is weighing 12lbs exactly and is measuring at 23 1/2 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Our doctor's office is also doing a child development study and each appointment up through age 4 we are asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding to Gabriel's development. At this time, Gabriel is right on track with his development and is doing what he should be for his age (smiling, talking, tracking, etc.). John came to this appointment with us as he is back home for a few weeks from traveling. Thank god he was here to comfort both a crying baby and crying mommy when it was time for vaccinations. Our little guy had to get two shots, one in each thigh, and take an oral vaccination. The oral medicine he took without a problem and just slurped it right down. His shots on the other hand were very painful and the poor little guy didn't know what had just hit him. I was able to comfort him with some yummy milk, planned strategically for after his shots.
On our way home from the doctors office we stopped to pick up a few little presents for Gabriel for making us so proud. He got 5 finger puppets and an awesome onesie that says "Born in 2010."
At home, Gabriel rested this evening and even though he had a little soreness at the injection sites, by bedtime he was back to his normal happy self. As we put the baby burrito to bed, he was full of smiles and laughter.
