Miami trip

A week before returning to work I decided it would be great to take a little trip to Florida with Gabriel. I was a bit nervous traveling alone and with a 3 month old, wondering how he'd do on the plane, how he'd do in the Miami heat, and how he'd do in a new place. To my surprise the flight both to and from Florida were great! Gabriel was such a good baby, everyone around me, including myself were so surprised with how well he did. Not even a peep out of him, just smiles and smiles and smiles. He made friends with everyone he met!

The trip itself was great, we got to spend lots of time at the pool which Gabriel warmed up to after the first few times, and lots of time was spent with his Grandpa, Aunt and Cousin. For me this trip was very special in that I got to share a great week in the Florida sun with my little guy. Grandpa took Gabriel to the animal safari, we all went down to South Beach, visited some of our Florida friends, ate yummy food, and played on our friends boats. All in all the trip was great for me to clear my mind and cherish my last week of maternity leave just me and my baby boy. Although we missed daddy very much, we had a great time and can't wait to come back in January.
