Miami Jan 20-31

We spent a wonderful week in Miami with John's family enjoying the sun and lots and lots of fun of course. This was Gabriel's second time on an airplane and I have to admit, I was a bit nervous, as he has become more mobile and has discovered his screaming voice. Fortunately, like always, he was terrific. What can I say other than we have a great little guy, never does he make any problems and is always so easy going. On our flight there he took interest in the television and even let daddy put headphones on so he could listen. The kiddo even fell asleep across our lap knowing there was no other option for sleeping comfortably.

Miami was a blast, Gabriel met his grandfather and aunt for the first time and was reunited with his grandma. He instantly warmed up to everyone as if he's been around them his whole life.

We spent the week touring Miami and went to the Miami Seaquarium and Jungle Island. With Gabi being only 7 months, we were impressed with his interest in all the animals. He definitely took after his parents when it comes to animals. From the dolphins and whales to the birds and monkeys, Gabriel couldn't take his eye off every creature we saw. He even got comfortable feeding the Lorakeets his finger and letting them nibble on em.

A lot of time was spent at the pool, this was Gabriel's second time in the water, the first being when he was 3 months old in Miami. Look at how much our boy has grown and how comfortable he's become in the water. He loved the floating device we got him and just kicked and kicked his little feet under the water to move about the pool. We've got a little tadpole!

Our last night in Miami we went and grabbed some dinner at the pier at the apartment and the following morning spent our last few hours at the beach. Gabriel was very curious with the sand and appeared to really like the feeling of it in between his fingers and toes. He also loved getting his feet wet in the ocean water (which was very cold). Then it was back on the plane to Denver.
