12 weeks 4 days

Today I went to get another ultrasound done for genetic prescreening that our doctor recommends for all pregnant women. Unfortunately, it turns out that our little one is just as stubborn if not more stubborn then it's parents. I was at the doctor's office for almost an hour getting poked and asked to shake my hips to get the little one to move positions. Every time it moved it didn't position itself the way the doctor needed. I'm having to go back once more this week to see if baby will decide to be more cooperative with the doctor. Even though the doctor didn't get what he needed, I was happy to see that all looks well. The little one continue to grow, from crown to rump it is measuring at 6 cm, doctor said with the legs its probably at about 8 cm. Heart continues to beat strong, organs are developing. It's crazy to see how much baby has grown over a two week period. We also got a video of the ultrasound but the technician didn't do a good job of capturing any footage of the baby actually doing what it normally does. She was more worried about getting the baby positioned as they needed so she kept poking me and trying to shake the baby from the outside of my tummy. In the end, they didn't get what they needed but I'm hopeful that Friday this little baby will be more cooperative! It better be or else I'm going to have to get my blood drawn!
