Family Outing

Today the three of us spent the afternoon out at Chatfield Reservoir with the dogs. It's been a while since the pups have gotten out of the house, probably since Gabriel's arrival. They've sure felt trapped at home and were needing a little exercise. We decided to head down to the dog park and take a nice walk in the lovely heat.

We attempted to put Gabriel in the water, luckily we only got his toes in the water before he started screaming. The water was WAY to cold for him, come on mom and dad, what were you thinking?

We had to strip the kid down to his diaper since it was so hot and everywhere we found shade we attempted to hide from the sun for a quick cool down.

At the end of our walk we took a nice rest under a big leafy tree and enjoyed watching the leaves blowing in the wind. Gabriel enjoyed this part the most. We took him out of his car seat and he felt free as a bird, stretching and enjoying the breeze.

This afternoon was great, just the three of us, our family.
