Visit to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Today we went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. We were hoping to end up at a Wildlife Sanctuary but when conducting a google search I failed and we ended up at the zoo instead. Oh well! Since we had already driven 45 minutes down to Colorado Springs, we figured we'd take a look at the zoo down here. It was an interesting zoo, built on a hill, we got a good workout hiking from animal exhibit to animal exhibit. Saw lots of cute animals and even got to enjoy watching a baby Orangutan play around. Gabriel slept through the entire walk at the zoo and woke up at the end of our adventure to eat. He woke up right as we were approaching the gift shop, strategic move little guy!!! Of course we had a great excuse to buy something at the gift shop, except no longer are we buying souvenirs for us now we're buying them for our little one. We got Gabriel a super cute sun hat which he didn't seem to mind and in fact wore it all the way home.
