New developments

We're just a little over 7 months old, and in the past week, Gabriel has impressed us with all he has learned. He has finally learned how to crawl, he's learned to pull himself up into a standing position, to sit up from a laying position, and to finally spit out his pacifier when he wants to eat or drink. In fact, the past two nights, he's been waking up in the middle of the night because he gets himself into a sitting position and can't figure out how to lay himself back down. We're hoping this is very temporary and that he returns to his normal sleep habits (10 1/2 hours a night). After doing some reading, I did come to find out that when babies start doing new things (crawling, standing, etc) their brains are working so hard that they will not sleep as well as normal. Guess that explains why he's sleeping so poorly, it's all these new developments in the past week!
